WGDS is an unorthodox NGO offering the only data science model with digital detectives that identify trafficking actors en masse, across industries, using minimally invasive administrative data. Unlike traditional methods, we do not rely on mining web data. Instead, we leverage the comprehensive administrative data filled out daily by organizations & consumers, which is common accross sectors of industry and government.

WGDS is a survivor-founded research and development tech company. While new as a company, our team has collaborated for years on major projects with large-scale impact.

With decades of success in banking, finance, public service, government, healthcare, education, automotive, supply chain, and organizational behavior, we have a proven record of delivering transformative results.

Our Mission

At WGDS, our mission is to eradicate human trafficking & humanitarian crimes with a logical model that’s minimally invasive and bolstered by AI.

Our Initial Goal

The DOJ reports that roughly 1,000 trafficking cases are initiated per year out of the 1 million people within the United States that are in trafficking scenarios. At this rate, it would take 100 years to identify the current 1 million victims. With a 7% increase in trafficking every decade, we simply can’t catch up unless something changes. Our goal is to significantly accelerate this process by increasing the reported cases to the DOJ for traffickers from 1% to 10% within three months of our go-live date. This rapid increase will enable us to catch up and stay ahead in the fight against human trafficking.

Less than half of 1 percent of human trafficking victims are identified. That needs to change.
